Dissemination of the project and its results was associated, from its beginning to scientific activities aiming to contribute to the production of evidence base in HCAIs prevention and control.

Not only scientific papers were published, and abstracts were submitted to international conferences, but as well, the innovative proposals associated to this area were proposed for patenting.

3 – Handrail cleaning and disinfection walkways system escalators and moving

The present invention relates to a cleaning and disinfection of handrails of stairs and moving walkways that automatically allow cleaning and disinfection of the surface, by removing the largest particles.

4 – Duo Syringe

Duo Syringe is a syringe with a double chamber that is, with two independent compartments with independent outlets, two independent plungers, preventing the mixing of fluids. It arises from the need for a syringe for intravenous administration that allows simultaneous loading and sequential administration of the drug and the lavage solution of the medical device where the drug has been administered.

5 – Safeblue

This invention fits within the field of antiseptics for use in clinical and laboratory settings. The present invention relates to a colored antiseptic compound which comprises an alcoholic base solution, an antiseptic and a dye, whose color, after being applied to the skin, fades over at least thirty seconds, forming a skin demarcation.

7 – Subcutaneous hydration device

The present invention relates to a simplified subcutaneous hydration device for application in humans and its main objective is to allow the rehydration of humans, with a special focus on children, before and after the onset of symptoms related to mild to moderate dehydration, with the presence of vomiting or diarrhea, using the technique of hypodermoclysis, with the particular advantage that the operation can be performed by people without specialized medical or nursing qualifications.
